right hand rule

lFleming's Right-hand Rule (for generators) shows the direction of induced current when a conductor attached to a circuit moves in a magnetic field. ... The current in the wire can have two possible directions. Fleming's right-hand rule gives which direction the current flows.

left hand rule

When a wire carrying an electric current is moved in a magnetic field of a magnet the magnetic field induced by the wire reacts with the magnetic field of the magnet causing the wire to move outwards. Fleming's left hand rule helps you to predict the movement.

First finger - direction of magneticfield (N-S)

SeCond finger - direction ofcurrent (positive to negative)

ThuMb - movements of the wire
