Total value of property = 4,50,000 (four lakh fifty thousand)
Commission of broker on 3,00,000 = 2%
450000
- 300000
150000
Now, commission on Rs. 300000 of the property = 300000 * 2 = Rs. 6000
100
Now, the broker takes Rs. 1.5 on the remaining value if the value is more than Rs. 300000.
Then, his commission on remaining Rs. 150000 (450000-300000) = 150000 * 1.5 = Rs. 2250
100
Now, the total commission is = 6000+2250 = 8250
