A brown substance x on heating forms a substance why when hydrogen gas is passed through it it again forms the substance x only name the substances x and y

The brown substance X is Cu (Copper). When it is heated Copper oxide is formed i.e y. If hydrogen gas is passed through heated CuO the black coating turns back to brown.

X is Copper

Y is Copper oxide.
