2L of water more is needed to fill the bucket completely.

Correct Question:

A bucket consists of 540 ml of water at first. Water from Nine identical mugs of capacity 500 ml. Each is poured in to the bucket. If the capacity of the bucket is 7 Litres, how much more is needed to fill the bucket completely.

Given:

bucket initially consist of volume 540ml

number of identical mugs is 9

Identical mugs of 500ml

full volume of bucket is 7L

Approach:

1. we first calculate how much volume does 9 identical mugs will contain

2. we will add it with the initial volume of bucket

3. we will subtract the full volume i.e, 7L from the final volume

Solution:

One mug consist of 500ml

so, 9 mug consist of => 9x500=4500ml

Now,

we will add it with 500ml

so, 4500+500=> 5000ml

so, final volume in bucket is 5000ml

we now convert this ml to L

so,

1L = 1000ml

5000ml => 5000/1000L= 5L

Now, we subtract it with the full volume

i.e,

=>7L- 5L=2L

Hence, 2L of water more is needed to fill the bucket completely.
