A bucket contains a mixture of two liquids A & B in
the proportion 7:5. If 9 liters of the mixture is
replaced by 9 liters of liquid B, then the ratio of the
two liquids becomes 7:9. How much of the liquid A
was there in the bucket?​

Let initial volume of mixture be L litres. It contains A= 7*L/12 B = 5*L/12 litres. When 9 litres of mixture is removed the remaining volume is L-9 lit. A = 7L/12-21/4 B = 5L/12 — 15/4.
