36 cm. How much a coin lying at its bottom
appears to be raised when viewed from

Answer:

9 cm

Explanation: refractive index formula used:- real height/ apparent height

          given :  refractive index = 4/3

                     : real height [h] = 36 cm

                     : apparent height [h1] = ?

    Now put the value in the formula

                              4/3 = 36/apparent height [h1]

                                h1 = 36 × 3/4

                                h1 = 9 × 3

                                h1 = 27

   The coin raised up = real height - apparent height

                                     = 36 - 27

                                = 9 cm

    The coin seem to be raised 9 cm up from bottom when

     veiwed from outside

     hope its helps to learn i am glad that you got it
