a bucket is in the form of frustum of a cone with capacity 12305.8cm cube of water .The radii of the top and bottom circilar ends are 20cm and12cm respectively . Find the total height of the bucket and the area of the metal sheet used in its making. (use π=3.14).

We have,
volume of frustm = 1/3πh(R² + Rr + r²)
⇒ 123058/10 =1/3 *3.14*h (784)
⇒ 61529/5 = 1/3 *314/100 * h *784
⇒ h = 14.996 = 15

Now,
l² = (R-r)² + h²
⇒ l =17

Area of metal used = CSA + area of bottom circle
                               = π(r+r)l + πr²
                               = 3.14(32*17)
                               = 1078.16 cm²
