a bucket made of plastic does not rust like a bucketmade up of iron. why?

This is because Iron has rusting property.

Iron reacts with oxygen in the presence of moisture to form Iron Oxide.

On the other hand, plastic does not react with oxygen & neither it has rusting​ property.

because plastic is a non reactive material. it doesn't react with air and water when exposed to moisture and air.for rusting reaction with air and moisture is necessary.hence plastic bucket don't rust
