No. of floors = 50

Height of 1 floor = 6m

Lift moves 3m per second

No. of floors between 2nd to 42nd floor = 40

Total distance = 6 x 40m

= 240m

Time lift will take to climb 40 floors = 240/3 secs

= 80 secs

Therefore, the lift will take 80 secs to climb 40 floors.
