A bulb draws 24w when connected to a 12-v supply. Find the power if it is connected to a 6-v supply.
Which formulae should we use P=VI or P=V^2/R

P=v^2/R should be use here.
P=24W
V=12V
P=v^2/R
24=12*12/R
R=24/12*12
R=1/6 ohm
if it is connected to 6-v supply then power will be
P'= v^2/R
P'=6*6/1/6
P'=6W

Hope this answer is helpful to u

avneetkaur1273258: Why V^2/R
Iamanantmall: because we can find resistance from 24w power and 12v supply but if we will find yhe current then in 6v supply the current will be change but resistance will not be change
