  • Explanation:

p=v×v×t÷r

100=200×200÷r

r=400 ohm

resistance of one bulb=400 ohm

resistance of 5 bulb=400×5=2000ohm

electrical energy consumption=no.of appliances×power×time÷1000

kwh=5×100×4÷1000

kwh=2

rate=2×4.60=9.20

rate=9.20

Using, P = V²R

we get R = V²P

= (200)²100

= 400

Energy consumed = P x t

= 100 x 4

= 400 Wh

= 0.4 kWh

Cost at the rate of 4.60 per unit

= Rs (4.60 x 0.4)

= Rs 1.84
