A bullet fire from a gun makes plane hole on the window whereas a ball thrown on the window makes rough hole.. What is the reason behind making plane and rough hole on the window?​

Answer:

Because firstly the bullet is of small size and contains greater quantity of motion net then off stone so because of Greater velocity it passes and make hole and as time taken is less so it does not cause much destruction in the window but stone is moving with very less velocity and large surface area so it takes very much time and just much destruction as compared to bullet.

Solution:-This statement can be easily understood on the basis of relation between force pressure and area

As we know

pressure= \frac{force}{area}

this shows that pressure is inversely proptional to area

since when the ball hits the mirror,,it have larger surface area due to this it was not able to apply much pressure as that bullet as bullet have small surface area and can apply more pressure on the mirror and can make complete hole in it
