Explanation:

Applying the Equation of motion for the initial velocity of the bullet

v2=u2+2aS

a=−40u2

Applying the equation of motion for the bullet after penetrating 15cm

v2=u2+2aS

Here, u=0 where the bullet is at the rest

The initial velocity of the bullet after penetrating 15cm is 2u

Applying the data in the equation of motion

We get

v2=u2+2aS

⇒20u2S=4u2

⇒S=5cm

Hopes it help you♥️♥️
