A bullet having a mass of 10 g and
moving with a speed of 1.5 m/s,
penetrates a thick wooden plank of
mass 900 g. The plank was initially
at rest. The bullet gets embedded in
the plank and both move together.
Determine their velocity.
Can anyone explain me this question and it's answer? Plz tell fast it is urgent

Answer:

lets use the principal of conservation of momentum

so initialy the plank had no momentum while but bullet had momentum of about 15gm/s

finally the momentum is(after geting embeded) total mass *the velocity

as momentum is conserved we can write

15=910*velocity..

so velocity is

Explanation:0.016 m/s
