A bullet having a mass of 10 kg and moving with a speed of 1.5 m/s.penetrates a tck wooden plank of mass 90 kg. the plank was initially at rest. the bullet gets embedded in the plank and both move together determine their velocity.

hey here is ur answer...

initial momentum =10×1.5
=15 N s

now final mass of system = 10 + 90
=100 kg
let the final velocity be V.

so by momentum conservation

Pi= Pf

15=100V
that is V= 15/100
V=0.15 m/s
