Given,
Mass of bullet=10 g=0.01 kg
Velocity of bullet=1.5 m/s
Mass of plank=90 g=0.09 kg
Total momentum before collision is given by
( Mass of the bullet x velocity )  + (mass of the plank x velocity)
   = (0.01kg x 1.5m/s)  + ( 0.09kg x 0 m/s)  = 0.015 kgm/s
Total momentum after collision is given by
( Mass of the bullet + mass of the plank)  x velocity
    =  (0.1 kg ) x  v  = 0.1 v kgm/s
Now, according to conservation of momentum,
Total momentum before  collision  = Total momentum after collision
                                       Or        0.015 kg-m/s  =0.1 v  kg m/s
  Thus,
Velocity acquired by the  plank and the bullet  = 0.15 m/s
