Velocity of the gun = 2 m/s

Mass of the bullet = 2 kg

Velocity of the bullet = x m/s

( Using the second law of Motion )

Momentum of the gun = Momentum of the bullet

                             4 * 2 = 2 * x

                                   8 = 2x

                                   x = 8/2

                                   x = 4

Hence the velocity of the bullet is 4 m/s.
