A bullet is fired from a gun with muzzle velocity u m/s at an angle theta with the horizontal at the top of trajectory the shell explodes into 2 fragments p and q of equal mass if speed of p fragment immediately after explosion becomes zero where does the centre of mass of the fragments hit the ground from point of projection

so centre of mass will follow the path of trajectory as it was before exploding

so its it will hit at a distance (u^2.sin2theta)/g
