A bullet is fired with a speed of 1000 m/s In order to penetrate a target situated at 100 away. If g=10 m/s², the gun should be aimed at?

Time taken by bullet to cover the distance =100/1000
=0.1s

Using the eq. S=ut+1/2at²
Initial speed is 0 then
S=1/2at²
S=5(0.1)²
S=0.05m
S=5cm
Since the bulley is to br fired at 5cm above target
