A bullet is fired with a velocity of 39.2 ms. At what angle the bullet should be fired so that it strikes the target at a distance of 78.4 m​ ????

Substituting the values, we get:-

⇒ 78.4 = 39.2² × sin2θ / 9.8

⇒ sin2θ = 1/2

⇒ 2θ = sin(1/2)  

⇒ 2θ = 30°  

⇒ θ = 15°

∴ The gun should be fired at 15° for the shell to strike its target.
