The moment when bullet is fired it's horizontal component is ucos60°

and it must be known that horizontal component don't have acceleration in such cases hence the velocity in horizontal component will never change as a result the velocity in horizontal direction will remain constant throughout the projectile.

Hence it will be ucos60°→ u/2
