\bf\small\red{Given:-}

  • u = intial velocity of bullet = 40 m/s.

  • a = retardation of bullet = -100 m/s.

  • v = 0 = final velocity of bullet.

\bf\small\red{Find:-}

  • S = Distance covered by bullet.

\bf\small\red{Solution:-}

we know,

\rm \rightarrow  {v}^{2}  =  {u}^{2}  + 2as

\rm\rightarrow \: ( {0}) ^{2}  = (40) ^{2}  + 2( - 100) \times s

\rm\rightarrow  - 1600 - 200s

\rm\rightarrow \:  \frac{1600}{200}  = s

\rm\rightarrow \purple{8 \: metres}
