Sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

Finding mass of bullet using ,

K.E = 1/2 mv²

Where

  • K.E → kinetic energy = 10⁵ J
  • m → mass = ?
  • v → speed = 200 m/s

Substituting the values we have,

➽ 10⁵ = 1/2 × (m) × (200)²

➽ 2 × 10⁵ = 40000m

➽ 2 × 100000 = 40000m

➽ 200000 = 40000m

➽ m = 200000 ÷ 40000

Mass of bullet = 5 kg

Hence , mass of bullet = 5 kg

Answer:

Gɪᴠᴇɴ :-

Speed of bullet = 200 m/s

Kinetic energy ( K.E ) = 10⁵J

Tᴏ Fɪɴᴅ :-

Mass of bullet = ?

Finding mass of bullet using ,

K.E = 1/2 mv²

Where

K.E → kinetic energy = 10⁵ J

m → mass = ?

v → speed = 200 m/s

Substituting the values we have,

10⁵ = 1/2 × (m) × (200)²

2 × 10⁵ = 40000m

2 × 100000 = 40000m

200000 = 40000m

m = 200000 ÷ 40000

Mass of bullet = 5 kg

Hence , mass of bullet = 5 kg
