A bullet leaves the barrel of a rifle with a speed of 300m/s. If the length of the barrel is 0.9m, at what rate is the bullet accelerated while in the barrel

The speed of bullet v=300 m/sec

The initial speed u=0

The length be s=0.9 m

To find:

The acceleration of the bullet.

Solution:

Using the formula of equation of motion.

v² - u²=2as

Putting the values.

(300)²-0=2×a×(0.9)

90000=1.8a

a=50000 m/sec²

So the acceleration of the bullet be a= 50000 m/sec²
