u=10m/s
v=0m/s
s=2/10m
So, first,we are needed to find acceleration as Acceleration is what is retardation
 We know, \\<br />2as=v^{2}-u^{2} \\ 2a \frac{2}{10} =0-10^{2} \\ =&gt;a= \frac{100}{\frac{4}{10}} ms^{-2} \\ a= -250 ms^{-2} or m/s^{2} \\ So\: retardation=-250m/s^{2}

newton82: mark as brainelist,i need your help please bro
rakshithreddy: you replied that wrong answer how do I mark as braine list
newton82: wait what is the answer
newton82: i may have done wrong calculation
rakshithreddy: 250
newton82: ok i will show it step by step wait for some m∏nutes ok
newton82: so that you will undertstand it properly
newton82: here is your answer

Explanation:

we have to not write negative sign because retardation means negative acceleration. So not write negative sign when answering retardation questions.
