A bullet
of mass 0.03kg moving with a velocity 15m/s enters through a mud wall of thickness 0.6m.it comes out of the wall with a velocity 9m/s.find the resistance offers by the wall.​

Change in momentum = 0.03*(15-9) = 0.18 kg m/s

Time, t required to cross the wall assuming that the acceleration was constant or assuming that average constant acceleration acted on it, is given by

t = 0.6/[(15+9)/2] = 0.05 s

The average force which acted on the bullet = 0.18/(0.05)= 3.6 N= can be considered as equal to average resistance offered by the wall
