A bullet of mass 0.16 kg fired from a gun with with velocity 18 metre per second mass of gun in 16 kg find the recoil velocity of gun​

Mass of the gun = 16 kg

Velocity of the recoil of gun = ?

Momentum of bullet = Momentum of gun

So, mass of bullet × velocity of bullet =

mass of gun × velocity of gun

0.16 × 18 = 16 × v

2.88 = 16 × v

v = 2.88/16 = 0.18 m/s

So, the recoil velocity of gun is 0.18 m/s.
