a bullet of mass 1 g is shot vertically up by a gun which gives a force of 2 N for 0.001 secs . calculate maximum height attained by the bullet. neglect air friction and take g = 10 m/s^2.
please provide complete explanation and working.
thank you!!

Answer:

force = change in momentam/time 2 =(mv-mu)/10 -3 u=0 so v = 2m/s now we have v 2 = u 2 +2as when bullet reaches maximum height then its velocity becomes ...

Explanation:

Let the recoil velocity of gun be V .Mass of gun Mgun = 5.0 kg Mass of bullet Mbullet = 0.01 kg Velocity of bullet Vbullet = 250 m/s Initial momentum ...
