intial velocity of bullet is u1=100 m s-1
intial velocity of block is u2=0
mass of bullet m=0.1 kg
mass of block M=0.9 kg
by linear conservation of momentunm
mu1=(M+m)v
v=(0.1)(100)/(01+0.9)=10/1=10 m s-1
therefore velocity of system is 10 ms-1

Answer:

Explanation:

intial velocity of bullet is u1=100 m s-1

intial velocity of block is u2=0

mass of bullet m=0.1 kg

mass of block M=0.9 kg

by linear conservation of momentunm

mu1=(M+m)v

v=(0.1)(100)/(01+0.9)=10/1=10 m s-1

therefore velocity of system is 10 ms-1
