- velocity of gun = recoil velocity= V₂= ?
- now as initial momentum = 0
- so according to law of conservation of momentum final momentum will be equal to 0.
- m₁v₁+m₂v₂=0
- m₁v₁= -m₂v₂
- 0.01×200= -3×v₂
- v₂= -2/3m/s
- v₂= recoil velocity = -2/3 m/s = -0.67 m/s.
