a bullet of mass 10g is fired on to a wall with a velocity of 50m/S. it stops inside the wall at a depth of 10 cm.find the resistance offered by the wall​

GIVEN ::-

Initial speed (u) = 50 m/z

Final speed (v) = 0 m/s

Depth to which bulet penetrate (l) = 0.1 m

mass of bullet (m) = 0.001 kg

We know that ,

v^2 -u^2=2as

0 - 2500 = 2 a (0.1)

a = -12500 m/s ( negative sign show dirrection )

Force applied by bullet on wall ,

F = m a

= 0.001 * 12500

= 125 N

We know that force applied on object are equal and opposite ( Newton ' s third law )

Therefore , Resistance offered by wall = 125 N
