a bullet of mass 10g moving with a velocity of 500m/s strikes a tree and goes out from the other side with a velocity of 400m/s. calculate the work done by the bullet in the tree

change kg to gram and then apply the formula

mass=10g=10/1000=0.01kg

u=500m/s

v=400m/s

Workdone by bullet =loss of its kinetic energy

=its initial K.E- final K.E

=1/2 x0.01x[(500)² - (400)²]

= 450 J hope it helps
