A bullet of mass 10g traveling horizontally with velocity 150m/s strikes wooden blocks and comes to rest in 3s calculate the distance of penetration of bullet into the block

It can be solve as....
we need the retardation of the bullet which is calculated as-
a=(v-u)/t.
now- t=3s, u=150m/s and final velocity will be zero because bullet come to rest i.e v=0
=> a=-50m/s^2
now we have to calculate S which can be calculated by formula v^2-u^2=2aS.....
from this we get S = (0-150×150)/2×-50
=>S=225m
