tatal energy before firing=after firing
kinetic energy of bullet + kinetic energy of block
= kinetic energy of both block and bullet
[10g=0.01kg]
1/2×0.01×20² + 1/2×1×0 = 1/2×(1+0.01)×v²
=>400(0.01)=1.01v²
=>4=1v²
[1.01≈1]
=>v²=4
=>v=2m/s
