A bullet of mass 12 gram is fired from a gun and bullet takes 0.06 second to emerge out from gun with the velocity of 600m/s ,find the force applied on the bullet by the gun?​

Force applied on bullet = (change in momentum of the bullet)/ time taken

Change in momentum of bullet = mv

= 0.012 kg x 600m/s = 7.2kgm/s

Time taken = 0.06s

F = (7.2kgm/s) / 0.06s = 120 N

Force applied on bullet = 120N
