v = u + at
0 = 500 m/s + (a × 0.01 s)
a = -500 / 0.01
a = -50 km/s²

S = -u² / (2a)
= -(500 m/s)² / (2 × 50 × 10³ m/s²)
= 2.5 m

Average speed = Total distance / Time
= 2.5 m / 0.01 s
= 250 m/s

Average speed of bullet is 250 m/s

[Note: In this case Distance is equal to displacement because bullet is moving linearly]

Answer:

v = u + at

0 = 500 m/s + (a × 0.01 s)

a = -500 / 0.01

a = -50 km/s²

S = -u² / (2a)

= -(500 m/s)² / (2 × 50 × 10³ m/s²)

= 2.5 m

Average speed = Total distance / Time

= 2.5 m / 0.01 s

= 250 m/s

Average speed of bullet is 250 m/s
