A bullet of mass 20 gram is horizontally fired with a velocity of 150 metre per second from a pistol of mass 2kg what is the recoil velocity of the pistol​

Answer:

fromt conservation of momentum

momentum before firing of bullet = momentum after firing of bullet

m1 × v1= m2 × v2

m1= mass of gun = 2kg

v1= recoil velocity

m2= mass of bullet = 20gm =0.02 kg

v2= velocity of bullet = 150m/s

0= 2×v1+(0.02×150)

v1 = -(0.02×150) ÷ 2

= 1.5 m/s backward
