A bullet of mass 200g is moving with a speed of 50m/s strikes a stationary object and penitrate to 20cm, find force exerted on the bullet​

mass of bullet = 200g = 200/1000 = 0.2kg

initial velocity = 50m/s

final velocity = 0

s = 20cm = 20/100 = 0.2m

so, from third formula v^2 - u^2 = 2as

0^2 - 50^2 = 2{a}{0.2}

0 - 2500 = 0.4{a}

-2500= 0.4a

-2500/0.4 = a

-2500/4 X 10 = a

-6250 = a

force = mass X acceleration

force on bullet = 0.2kg X -6250

force = 1250N in opposite direction
