A bullet of mass 20g moving with a velocity of 1000m/s hits stationary antelops of mass 12kg. The bullet lmbeds and the two more in one direction.Calculate its final velocity.

M 2 = 12 kg       , V 2 =   ?

By law of conservation of momentum

                   0.020 x 1000 = 12 x V 2

            V 2 = 20/12 =1.66 m/s
