a bullet of mass 20g moving with velocity of 500m/s strike a tree and goes out from the other side with a velocity of 400m/s . cal. the work done by the bullet in joule in passing though the tree. ?​

Given,

mass=20g

=>20/1000=>0.02kg

u=500m/s

v=400m/s

Workdone by bullet =loss of its kinetic energy

=its initial K.E- final K.E

=1/2 x0.02x[(500)² - (400)²]

=0.01x9x 10⁴

=900joules
