A bullet of mass 20g strikes a blockbof mass 980g with a velocity v and is embedded in it.the block is in contact of a spring whose force constant is 100N/m .after the collision the spring is compressed up to 10 cm.find-magnitude of the velocity v of the bullet and loss in the kinetic energy due to the collision

M=980g.
1/2 × 1000×v^2= 1/2 × 100 ×100
v=root of 10......
