and is brought to rest in one tenth of a sec, find
the impulse & average

mass of the bullet,

m = 25 gm = 25/1000 = 0.025 Kg

initial velocity, u = 150 m/s

Final Velocity, v = 0 m/s

time to bring it to rest = 1/10 sec

Impulse = Force = mass × acceleration

F = m × a

F = m × [ ( v - u ) / t ]

F = 0.025 × [ ( 0 – 150 ) / ( 1 / 10 ) ]

F = 0.025 × [ – 150 × 10 ]

F = 0.025 × ( – 1500 )

F = – 37.500 kgm/s²
