Given:-

Mass of the bullet(m)=30g

=>30/1000

=>0.03kg

Velocity of the bullet(v)=100m/s

Mass of the pistol(M)=1.5kg

To find:-

Recoil velocity of the gun(V)

Solution:-

By law of conservation of momentum,we get-----

=>MV-mv=0

=>V=mv/M

=>(0.03×100)/1.5

=>2m/s

Thus,recoil velocity of the gun is 2m/s.
