The equation to find the kinetic energy is given as:

        K.E = (mv²) / 2

Where m and v are the mass and velocity of the body respectively.

Velocity can be calculated as;

v² = (2 × K.E) / m

    = (2 × 300) / 0.04

    = 600 / 0.04

v² = 15000

∴ v = √1500

  v = 122.5 m/s

The magnitude of velocity and speed are equal. ∴ the speed of the bullet is also 122.5 m/s.
