Thus, the wall applies 50N force to resist the motion of the bullet.

hope it helps....

Given:

Mass of the Bullet = 0.004 kg

Initial Velocity = u = 50 m/s

Depth = s = 10cm = 0.1 m

To find:

Average resistance offered by the wall

Solution:

Final velocity = 0

According to the equation of velocity

v² - u² = 2as

a = (0 - 2500) / 2 x 0.1

a = - 2500/ 0.2

= - 1250

Now,

F = ma

F =  0.004 x -1250

= - 50N

Answer: Force Exerted by wall on Bullet is +50N ( Newton's third law)
