Answer:

The resistance offered by the wall is 50N.

Explanation:

The reason is to stop 50N force the wall must apply the same magnitude of force.

The average resistance offered by the wall is 50N.

Given:

Mass (m)  = 4g = 0.004kg

Initial velocity (u) = 50m/s

Final velocity(v) = 0m/s

Depth of wall (s)  = 10cm = 0.1m

To find: Average resistance offered by wall

Solution:

2as = v{2} - u^{2}

2 * a* 0.1 = 0^{2} - 50^{2}

a * 0.2 = -2500

a = -2500/0.2

a = -12,500 m/s^{2}

F = ma

F= 0.004 * (-12,500)

F = - 50N

So, the force required is 50N. Negative sign means that force is applied in opposite direction.

Hence, the average resistance offered by the wall is 50N.
