A bullet of mass 50g fired from a gun with initial velocity of 35m/s.If mass if the gun is 4kg then calculate the recoil velocity of Gun.(g=10m/s^2)​

Given :-

A bullet of mass 50g fired from a gun with initial velocity of 35m/s.If mass if the gun is 4kg

To Find :-

Recoil velocity

Solution :-

According to the question

∆p = p

mu = mv

1 kg = 1000 g

50 g = 50/1000 = 0.05 kg

(0.05)(35) = (4)(v)

1.75 = 4v

1.75/4 = v

0.4375 = v

Hence

Velocity is 0.4375 m/s
