M1 = Mass of bullet = 50 g = 0.050 kg
M2 = Mass of bullet = 5 kg
U1 = 0
U2 = 0
V1 = 100 m/s
V2 = ?
As we know ,
M1U1+M2U2 = M1V1+ M2V2
0+0 = 0.050×100+5×V2
0 = 5+5×V2
-5= 5V2
V2 = -1 .
The final Velocity of the gun is -1 m/s.

Mass of bullet = 50g = 0.050kg
Mass of gun = 5kg
Velocity of bullet = 100m/s
Acc. to law of conservation of momemtum,
Recoil velocity of gun = m/M ×v
= 0.050/5 × 100
=-1 m/s
Mass of gun = 5kg
Velocity of bullet = 100m/s
Acc. to law of conservation of momemtum,
Recoil velocity of gun = m/M ×v
= 0.050/5 × 100
=-1 m/s
