A bullet of mass 50g strikes a wooden plank with a velocity of 200m/s and emerges out with a velocity of 50m/s . Calculate the work done by the bullet against the resistive force offered by the plank.

mass of bullet to be M

speed of bullet be V

S is distance traversed by bullet in mud wall

now, applying work energy theorem

Change in kinetic energy= Work done

(1/2)*M*V^2= F.S

substituting the given values we get

|F|= 24000 N

but you can replace the value
