A bullet of mass 50gm is fixed by a gun of 5kg .If velocity of bullet is 100m/s then find the recoil velocity of gun​

0+0=m1v1*+MV where v1*=speed of bullet and V is the recoil velocity of the gun.

we can solve it by conservation of momentum..

total momentum impact=total momentum after I

impact

momentum before impact= 0 (as velocity is zero)

momentum after impact= 0.05*100+5*v

where v is the velocity of gun in opposite direction or recoil

0.05*100+5*v=0

5+5v=0

v= -1m/s
